 B.Arch. | Bachelors of Architecture

5 year Programme with approval of Council of Architecture, New Delhi

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have the following credentials are eligible for admission to B.Arch. programme

i) Qualified a recognised aptitude test in Architecture (NATA or equivalent) in 2017 OR qualified in NATA- 2016 AND

ii) Have gone through any of the following curriculum marks as prescribed below:

(a) Secured 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects; OR

(b) 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Govt. with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics; OR

(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination

In International Accounting and Finance with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) curriculum

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have secured 60% of marks in aggregate in 10+2/ PUC or equivalent, with a minimum of 65% marks in English and a minimum of 65% marks either in Accountancy or Mathematics or in any other subject related to Commerce are eligible for admission to the programme.

In Risk and Management Accounting with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) curriculum

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have secured 60% of marks in aggregate in 10+2 / PUC or equivalent, with a minimum of 65% marks in English and a minimum of 65% marks either in Accountancy or Mathematics or in any other subject related to Commerce are eligible for admission to the programme.

The B.Com, Hons. with ICAI foundation course is a solid foundational programme for students who plan to pursue higher education in Management/Commerce as well as for students who intend to attain professional qualifications such as CA, CS etc. The programme gives students a solid depth of understanding that will set them up to become Accountancy and Finance professionals who can meet the industry’s requirements in India and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have secured 60% of marks in aggregate in 10+2 / PUC or equivalent are eligible for admission to the programme. The candidates should have basic IT skills.

Admissions Process

Five simple steps for admission @ CMRU:

  • Visit the Department of Admissions & Student Affairs.
  • Register for a free counseling session to determine and finalise the academic programme of your choice.
  • Prepare all documents that are required to be submitted for verification.
  • Complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents.
  • Pay the application fees and tuition fees to confirm your seat.

Admission to B.Tech Programmes

Students who wish to seek admission to B.Tech programmes under the School of Engineering & Technology, CMR University, may do so via one of the following processes:

  • Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process
  • COMEDK and Selection Process
  • CMRUAT

Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process

The Government of Karnataka conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) through the Karnataka Examination Authority. This entrance exam is a gateway to obtain an engineering seat through the Government quota. The CET conducts examination in four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Candidates who wish to seek admission in engineering courses appear for the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exams. Based on the CET ranking obtained, candidates are offered a choice of colleges/universities at the time of CET counselling. CMRU can be chosen at the time of CET counselling. COMEDK and Selection Process

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association namely “Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”, COMEDK also conducts entrance examinations for all students irrespective of state. After the COMEDK entrance test is administered and the test scores and rank lists will be published and centralized counselling will be conducted. Students are given the option of selecting the college / university of their choice during COMEDK counselling. CMRU can be chosen at the time of COMEDK counselling. CMRUAT

Admission through this process is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. Eligible students (those who meet qualifying requirements as per the eligibility criteria) will be selected based on their performance in online CMRU Admission Test (CMRUAT 2017). The candidates can register for CMRUAT through the link: https://www.cmr.edu.in/cmruat2017/

Note: Candidates must have taken one of the following examinations in order to qualify:

  • Common Entrance Test (CET)
  • COMEDK
  • Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)

How to Apply for CMRUAT 2017

Candidates will be required first to register online in order to take the CMRUAT 2017.

A valid e-mail and mobile number is mandatory for the registration. CMRU will send important information with regard to your application and test on this registered e-mail and mobile number. This e-mail and mobile number should be kept active till the end of admission process.

After receiving Login ID and Password, candidates will not be able to edit the information provided at the time of registration. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the registration form with utmost care.

After registration, candidates will be required to fill up the online application form for writing the CMRUAT 2017 and submit the same.

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 750/- (Rupees seven hundred and fifty only) for writing the test. The payment can be made online (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking) or offline.

Those candidates who are applying for offline payment will have to send a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of CMR University payable at Bangalore along with the application form downloaded after registration.

Candidates making the payment online should note these important Terms & Conditions.

Before proceeding to fill up the Online Application, candidates should have scanned image (jpg) of their (a) Passport size photograph (size not more than 80 KB) (b) Signature (size not more than  80 KB) and (c) Demand Draft (in case of offline payment of the application fee) for Rs. 750/- in a CD/DVD/pen drive as per their convenience. These documents will be required for uploading the online application for CMRUAT 2016.

A candidate who opts for offline payment shall send the printout of the application form duly signed alongwith the DD for Rs.750/- as above through speed post/courier to the address listed below.

Candidates will be intimated about the allotment of test city, centre details and date of test by email & through SMS, 4 days in advance to print the admission hall ticket and appear in the test.

After CMRUAT, selected candidates will be invited for personal counselling. The selection of candidates will be made in accordance with the CMRU regulations prevailing at the time of admission, and the selection process will be based on academic merit and aptitude of the prospective candidate.

Successful candidates will be required to accept the admission offer immediately.

College fee of Rs 25000/- will be charged during admissions. This fee will include payment towards ID Card, high-speed Wi-Fi / Internet, Soft Skills Training, Value-added programmes, Pre-Placement and Placement Training, Students Kit, Alumni Membership Fee, etc.

Please note that the management reserves the right of admission and allotment of the branch. Once a candidate has been admitted to a particular course, any request for refund of fees will not be entertained.

Once the seat has been confirmed, candidates may fill out the application form and submit it along with the documents specified below.

 Are there any terms and conditions regarding submission of documents?

Yes, the following conditions apply.

  • At the time of admission, candidates must submit all the original documents, copies and other relevant documentation as well as a hardcopy of the completed application form.
  • Students should ensure that they keep a photocopy of the documents for themselves before submitting the same to the admissions department.
  • The original documents submitted will be returned to the student only at the end of the program.
  • In order to take back these documents at the end of the program, a student must produce the documents acknowledgement receipt he received during the time of admission.

 What are the transportation options available for engineering students traveling to the CMRU Main Campus?

Students have the convenience of boarding the University buses from the designated pick-up points mentioned below:

  • Route No.1 – Yeshwanthpur: near Yeshwanthpur Railway station/Metro station.
  • Route No.2 – Majestic: opposite to City Railway station.
  • Route No.3 – Byyapanahalli: near Metro Station.

All students availing the transport facilities must pay suitable fees as decided by the college administration. Free transport facility for the students staying in CMR University hostel is available.
