Academic and Industry Collaborations

CMRU has entered into an MoU with ICAI to introduce collaborative/integrated education programs, innovative teaching techniques, research projects, publications and academic interventions. Foundation and Intermediate courses of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India have been integrated into CMRU’s B.Com (Hons) & B.Com programmes. CMRU will exempt cost management accountants (CMAs) from the Ph.D. coursework for candidates registered in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Cost Accounting and related subjects.

ACCA, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the global body for Professional Accountants. The B.Com. (Honours) International Accounting & Finance is an Undergraduate Programme in Commerce which is fully integrated with ACCA Curriculum and is also accredited by ACCA. The programme entails a student completing the entire ACCA Qualification alongside their B.Com (Honours) International Accounting & Finance from CMR University.

CIMA, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants is the world’s leading, and largest, professional body of management accountants. The B.Com (Honours) Risk and Management Accounting is an Undergraduate Programme in Commerce which is fully integrated with CIMA Curriculum and is also accredited by CIMA. The programme entails a student completing the entire CIMA Qualification alongside their B.Com. (Honours) Risk and Management Accounting from CMR University.

CMRU has integrated Global Business Foundation Skills (GBFS) courseware into the curriculum, developed by NASSCOM-Sector Skills Council. NASSCOM-SSC (IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council) conducts a pre-competence test at the start of the programme and post assessment test at the end of the programme to certify the skill competency level. The Competency Certificate from NASSCOM provides for employment opportunities, with all the registered companies of NASSCOM.

CMRU has partnered with IBM India Pvt Ltd to set up a Business Analytics Lab, through which Certificate Programmes for UG/PG students aligned with relevant IBM Software will be offered. IBM will provide courseware and/or perform training activities for Career Education courses included in the CMR University curriculum.

CMRU is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact’s (UNGC) Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). The PRME initiative is the first organised relationship between the United Nations and academic institutions, business schools and universities. In fact, 36 of the Financial Times’ top 100 business schools participate in PRME and CMR University is one of those top-league signatories. As a signatory to the UN’s PRME initiative, CMRU will offer two mandatory subjects ‘Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability’ and ‘Corporate Ethics and Regulations & Governance in Business Diplomacy’ with high level of integrity and ethics in business practices.

CMRU has entered a collaboration with the IPL to offer an Executive MBA and certificate programmes in “Product Management and Leadership”. The Executive MBA programme is 18-months long and conforms with the AICTE & UGC regulations.

The School of Media and Technology in collaboration with Seamedu focuses on bridging the gap between the industry and academia by offering industry relevant courses in all major specialisations. All programmes that CMRU jointly offers with Seamedu are meticulously planned with strategic involvement from industry personalities, artists & technicians at every stage of the programme, and are delivered by professionals with vast experience in the respective fields. Seamedu is supported by ‘Toolbox Studios’, a sister concern company specialising in Animation & Visual Effects Production; and ‘Rolocule Games’ a young game development company who are knowledge partners to Seamedu.

An International Exchange body, CMRU signed Direct Membership agreement. Through this CMRU students can study across the globe in 54 different countries.

CMRU has signed an MOU with AIESEC, the world’s largest non-profit youth-run organization. An international non-governmental not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural global internships, and volunteer exchange experiences across the globe. With this agreement, CMRU students can do their internships in 127 countries across globe.

Academic program collaboration and related support and services provided to CMR University

Implementation of waste management and Zero waste campus, provide guidance and active engagement in imparting session for certification courses, and community service activities

Conducting short term courses in association with forest department and professionals in areas like Forestry, Agriculture, Natural Resources etc. Internship opportunities for students to assist, learn and undertake field works in an ongoing project and or programmes related to nature, forest and wildlife.

CMR University (CMRU) Bangalore, India has partnered with Daffodil International University (DIU), ranked 1st private university in Bangladesh. CMRU and DIU will offer collaborative faculty and student exchange and research programs in the fields of Engineering, Management and Social Sciences.

CMRU has entered into an MOU with Ariel University, a public, institution established in 1982. CMRU and Ariel University will offer an exchange of scholars and scientists to conduct research of mutual interest, Faculty exchange for short term lectures, an exchange of information, academic materials and publication in fields of mutual interest and attending conferences.

CMRU has entered into an MOU with UFU, a public, institution established in 1920. CMRU and UFU will offer UG student exchange, Faculty exchange for conducting seminars and short term lectures, exchange of training and methodical literature, teaching plans and curricula, arrangement and conducting of joint seminars, conferences, exhibitions on subjects of cooperation and Summer school programs.

CMRU has entered into an MOU with IUGB is a private institution. CMRU and IUGB will offer student and faculty exchange, Faculty capacity building, Joint knowledge creation and dissemination, Joint research and collaborative management development programs.

CMRU has entered into an MOU with Al Zaiem Al Azhari University, a public institution established in 1993.CMRU and Al Zaiem Al Azhari University will offer student and faculty exchange, Faculty capacity building, Joint knowledge creation and dissemination, Joint research and collaborative management development programs.

CMRU has signed an MoU with National Law School of India University. The MoU seeks to foster an Academic Collaboration that will encompass exchange of students and members of faculty between the two parties as well as other academic activities, research and publication, in addition to development of joint training and research programmes that will be pursued in a collaborative spirit.

CMRU has collaborated with University of Huddersfield to develop the academic and cultural interchange through mutual assistance in the areas of education and research.

CMRU has collaborated with Kyungpook National University for global student internship, faculty and student exchange programmes.

CMRU has collaborated with Almaty Management University to establish and conduct mutually agreed cooperative and collaborative project, programs and / or activities, which will enhance the programs of each University.
