Prof. Pooja has a bachelor’s in architecture from RV College of Architecture, Bangalore and a master’s degree in urban design from CEPT University. She is a partner and Design strategist at Whitespace35, a design consultancy firm specialized in urban design, urban governance and policy advocacy sectors.
Earlier she worked in industries and large scale firms which provide design consultancy to public sector projects. She has also worked at HCPDPM Ahmedabad on AGA Khan Academy project and on Sabarmathi River Front Development project. Later she joined Venkataramanan Associates in Bangalore and worked on large scale housing projects.
She also founded Metacity, a multidisciplinary urban design collective which is now working with the state government of Karnataka along with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit(GIZ) GmbH, a German federal enterprise owned by Government of Germany on Indo-German Environment Partnership for Urban and Industrial Development IGEP-UID.
