Prof. Muralidhar K

Prof. Muralidhar K after graduating in Architecture from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. He worked as an architect and furniture designer in Bangalore, then went on to do M.Des. in Industrial Design from Industrial design Center, IIT Bombay. Started the Design Entrepreneurial journey as the Founder principal of a multi-disciplinary research and production studio called Design Circle in 2004. He is an avid traveler who has attended workshops and seminars across the globe. He has more than 20 years of experience in various fields of architecture, interior
design, furniture design, entrepreneurship, manufacturing and design education.

He is the founder director of the CMR University School of Architecture from 2015 onwards. Was part of the Harvard School of Education ‘Maker-centric learning course’. At CMRUSOA he handles the Foundation Studies and Architectural Design apart from the day-to-day administration of the school. He has successfully built brands within the school by conducting unique workshops- ‘FullScale’ and exhibitions- ‘Chingari’. He believes in the approach of fusing technology with new materials and constantly learning from traditional knowledge and practices. He is founder co-ordinator of the MakerSpace @ cmrit specifically created to encourage interdisciplinary collaborative learning and work culture.
