Programme Overview

  • The B.Com., LL.B (Hons.) programme is an integrated double degree course that combines a Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • In this programme, the students study various management-related concepts such as Business Communication, Principles of Management, Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship and HRM
  • In Law they study courses in various areas, such as Criminal Laws, Corporate and Commercial Laws, Constitutional Law, International Law and more.
  • Each academic year is divided into two semesters. While each semester lasts for 18 weeks, the duration of the course shall be five academic years consisting of 10 semesters.

Eligibility

Programme Educational Objectives

  • To enable the students to understand the mutually inclusive relationship between Law, Justice and Governance and to train them in the intricacies of public policy and administration.
  • To enable the students to appreciate the role played by socio-economic realities in everyday administration and its impact on law and legal systems and to empower them by inculcating in them, the ability to bring about balance and harmony between welfare and development.
  • To facilitate in-depth study of the concepts of ‘Law’ and ‘Justice’, and to enable the student in understanding and interpreting constitutional and legislative texts.
  • To foster a clear understanding of the role played by law & justice in ensuring community welfare and fulfilling social responsibilities.
  • To ensure that the students are capable of appreciating the dynamic nature of law and justice in the continually changing perspectives of a globalizing world.
