Programme Overview

  • This programme introduces students to the world of serving those in need of mental health care services such as counselling.
  • Students get to experience first-hand the mental health settings where caregiving becomes the need of the hour. Students are also engaged in focussing on improving the quality of life of seekers from a mental healthcare perspective.
  • Mental wellness is a key aspect that is dealt upon by students and faculty in the programme.
  • A key focus of this Post Graduate Diploma is psycho-social rehabilitation and the underlying principles/practices.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate who has passed any degree examination from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks is eligible for admission to the programme (45% in case of SC/ST/PH students) with Psychology/ Social work/ Nursing as one of the optional course.
