Prof. P. Nagabhushan is a distinguished Indian academician and computer scientist known for his contributions to pattern recognition and image processing. He served as Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad from May 2017 to April 2022, where he led major curriculum and examination reforms and introduced new academic programmes. Prof. P. Nagabhushan has held several key leadership roles, including Chief Nodal Officer for Choice-Based Credit Patterned Continuous Assessment Education System, Director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Board, Dean of Science and Technology at the University of Mysore, Principal of Bangalore Technological Institute, and Director of BESTAR. He has guided over 28 Ph.D. scholars and published more than 500 research papers. After an active tenure, he resigned from IIIT Allahabad in January 2022 to become the Vice- Chancellor of Vignan University, Hyderabad.
