Overview

The CMR University Summer Immersion Programme offers an opportunity to students of classes 9-12 to discover their passion and gain an understanding of university education. This project-based programme helps students strengthen their skills, by offering exciting courses that provide a strong foundation to succeed in college, and beyond.

During this two-week programme, students will become immersed in engaging topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in the University labs, libraries, and makerspaces.

Students will learn from distinguished University faculty members who are experts in their field of study, work with college students and Teaching Assistants passionate about their chosen domain of interest and experience college resources for 2 weeks.

At the end of this intensive course, students will present a final project at the summer program showcase.

Junior Paralegal Programme by CMRU School of Legal Studies

Description : The course is designed to give students a brief foray into the domain of Law and legal practice. The course seeks to introduce to the students the various disciplines that fall under this domain. The course will also focus on providing a brief glimpse into the profession of Law and the various career opportunities open to Law students.

Learning Outcomes :

After the completion of the course the student will

  • Demonstrate a elementary understanding of Law and Legal Systems
  • Gain a basic understanding of the various disciplines under Law
  • Be aware of various career pathways and opportunities available to anyone studying Law.
  • Be able to make a smooth transition into being a Law student.

  • Module 1 - Public Laws: Rights of Citizens, Duties of Indian Citizens, Crime in Society
  • Module 2 - Private Laws: Buying & Selling of Goods & Services, Nuisance & Negligence
  • Module 3 - Personal Laws: Marriage of two people in India and their Divorce regulation
