Programme Overview

  • Students of Air and Space Law study security and safety laws related to the environment, air route structures, bi-lateral air agreements, regulation of air services and liability issues.
  • This programme is designed to provide a forum for practitioners and scholars who are interested in dealing with the international legal aspects of air and space law and focus on the study and practice of air and space law, aviation policy, and the civil, commercial, administrative and criminal aspects of air and space law.
  • The University follows the Annual Scheme for the PG Diploma Programmes. The duration of the programme shall be from one year.

Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree of any discipline from any recognized University or abroad recognised by UGC / AIU.

I SEMESTER
– International Law basis of Air and Space Law
– Fundamentals of Air and Space Law
– Emerging issues in Air Law
– Emerging issues in Space Law

 

Programme Educational Objectives

  • To inculcate in the student an attitude for critical analysis of the fundamental concepts of Aviation and Space Laws.
  • To enable the student in understanding, interpreting and making a comparative study of the various municipal and international laws related to the Aviation and Space sectors.
  • To analyse the various international conventions, treaties. model laws and policy documents and appreciate their role in shaping the International Law regime related to Aviation and Space Laws.
 

Programme Outcomes

  • On successful completion of this programme the student will be able to comprehend, analyse, assimilate and apply knowledge related to Aviation and Space laws.
  • On successful completion of this programme the student will be able to engage in critical analysis of various contemporary issues related to Aviation and Space laws.
  • On successful completion of this programme the student will be able to engage in design thinking as an effective approach to problem solving.
