Programme Educational Objectives

  • To enable students to understand the mutually inclusive relationship between Law, Justice and Governance and to train them in the intricacies of public policy and administration.
  • To enable students to appreciate the role played by socio-economic realities in everyday administration and its impact on law and legal systems and to empower them by inculcating in them the ability to bring about balance and harmony between welfare and development.
  • To facilitate in-depth study of the concepts of ‘Law’ and ‘Justice’, and to enable the student in understanding and interpreting constitutional and legislative texts.
  • To foster a clear understanding of the role played by law & justice in ensuring community welfare and fulfilling social responsibilities.
  • To ensure that the students are capable of appreciating the dynamic nature of law and justice in the continually changing perspectives of a globalizing world.
