The certificate course in Interior design is designed to enable students to continue their education, after their studies have been discontinued post higher secondary education for various reasons. This course will equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge required to seek employment in the field of Interior Design, both manual and digital.
This course serves as an introduction to interior spaces – colour, texture, plane and fixtures, furniture and furnishings. This course also emphasizes on surface treatment and plant scape – decorative materials for ceiling, walls and floors, and choosing the right upholstery for openings and furniture. Students also learn about using indoor plants and interior landscape to enhance the aesthetics of the space. In this course, students also learn to represent various elements of artificial lighting, air conditioning and acoustics, AC ducts, electrical wiring, water supply and removal of waste water. The emphasis will be on understanding and exploring the various aspects of Interior Design, both in manual and digital formats.
