Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS): The university operates on a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), allowing students the flexibility to select courses based on their preferences and earn credits according to their performance.
Grades and GPA: Students receive grades for each course in a semester, and their Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) is computed to gauge academic performance. The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is utilized to assess overall performance across all semesters.
Internship: All students enrolled in this program are mandated to participate in an internship during the fifth and sixth semesters, providing practical exposure and hands-on experience.
Evaluation Process: The assessment of students is comprehensive and continuous throughout the semester, encompassing Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Semester End Examination (SEE). CIE and SEE contribute equally to the total evaluation, each carrying a weightage of 50%, resulting in a total of 100 marks for each course, regardless of its credit value.
Assessment Methods: Prior to each semester, faculty members may select assessment methods such as assignments, seminars, quizzes, group discussions, case studies, practical activities, class presentations, industry reports, etc., assigning appropriate weightage to each.
By adhering to these principles, the university aims to provide a holistic and flexible learning experience for students, emphasizing practical application through internships and maintaining a robust evaluation system that combines continuous internal assessment with comprehensive semester-end examinations.
