Pratyusha teaches Architectural Design, Urban Design, Basic Design, Theory of Architecture, and Electives at CMR University’s School of Architecture. Her areas of research interest include Design, media, writing, film, research methodology, graphical representation, and metaphorical thinking methods. Pratyusha Suryakant has a masters degree with an honourable mention from The Berlage Centre for Advanced Studies in Architecture and Urban Design, Delft University of Technology (NL) and a bachelor’s degree from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture (KRVIA), Mumbai.
She was also selected for an exchange semester with Tunghai University, Taiwan during her undergraduate studies.
After her masters, she went on to work at Inside Outside (Amsterdam) with multi-disciplinary associates from landscape and textile backgrounds. She also worked with DROM (Rotterdam) on urban design and housing in collaboration with Strelka Institute. She has previously worked in India at Khosla Associates in Bangalore, S+PSa and at S.R.D.A in Mumbai. She has taught at KRVIA and at School of Environment, Mumbai.
She has also been involved in various other forms of visual expression including film, editorials, publishing, writing, curating events, amongst others. Her master’s group project ‘The Highlife’ based in Africa has been exhibited at Het Nieuwe Institut, Rotterdam. Her article ‘Hi I’m Billy’ has been published in Macguffin No. 5. Her master’s thesis culminated in a collective publication titled ‘The Claim for a Good Life’.
