A workshop featuring research on different learning styles was organized by the department of Social sciences and Humanities, CMR University on 24th January 2020 for the students of M.S.W. and B.A.(Hons.). It was conducted by Dr. Wolfgang Amann, Affiliate Professor at HEC Paris in Qatar, Strategy and Business Policy.

The speaker then gave the students an insight into his book – Business schools under fire. This book outlines how business schools can get out of the line of fire by presenting the corner stones of humanistic business education.

There was an input session followed by a tutorial session, where the students worked on the assigned task individually. The question – answer session was very engaging where both the faculty and students had great deal of interesting questions, which the guest speaker answered convincingly. The speaker spoke about Karma management and emphasized that there would be no need for sustainability courses. He said that India as a country has versatile learning styles and that was the main reason of his research being focused in India.

The students showed keen interest in the workshop and participated actively.
