Guest Lecture on “Opportunities and Challenges for Indian Students in Germany”

A Guest Lecture was jointly organized and conducted by the SOEC and SOSSH on the topic “Opportunities and Challenges for Indian Students in Germany” on 28th August, 2019 in the City Campus, CMR University for the students belonging to SOEC and SOSSH who are interested in exploring the future education and work opportunities in Germany. Ms. Amrita Gandikota, Ambassador, German Indian Startup Exchange Program – GINSEP and the Hub Manager of Startup AsiaBerlin, Bangalore, India was the chief guest and delivered the guest lecture to the students. She is also leading the Bangalore Indo-German Startup Network – BIGSUN project initiated by the German Consulate, Bangalore and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

The guest lecture was conducted with the major objective of providing the insights to our students about the current opportunities available to pursue the studies and work in Germany. The students were provided with great insights to understand the intra-cultural management issues and measures that may lead to successful intra-cultural management practices by effectively controlling the traits such as self-confidence, tolerance, acceptance, sense of humor, etc. The speaker also shared valuable information regarding different types of Visas like employment visa, educational visa and blue card. The current trade and economic relations between India and Germany were also discussed in an interactive mode. Finally the students were also well informed about current opportunities available to take their future studies and work in Germany.
