New BSc and BCA Programmes of the School of Audio and Visual Technologies Inaugurated at CMR University

The new BSc and BCA programmes of the School of Audio and Visual Technologies @ CMRU were inaugurated on Tuesday, 23rd of August, at the CMR City Campus. The new courses include:

BCA | Game Software Development

BCA | Mobile App Development

B.Sc | Photography

B.Sc | Filmmaking

B.Sc | Sound Engineering

B.Sc | Visual Effects & Animation for Film and TV

Special guests at the event included Dr Anand K Joshi, Vice Chancellor, CMRU, who stressed on these “unique programmes which are industry suitable with tremendous employment opportunities”.

News9 TV Channel’s Bansy Kalappa, Special Correspondent and Anchor, who spoke of his experience in the media, focused on ‘unlearning’ as a means of keeping abreast of the organic changes in the industry. He reminded that there is a dire need to educate students with the firm intent of employability and industry readiness.

Dr R Praveen, Registrar, Prof SK Balaraman, Registrar –Evaluation, Ajay Thomas, Director, Operations, Seamedu School of Pro-Expressionism (Pune) were also present for the occasion.

The School of Audio and Visual Technologies offers UG courses under CMR University to produce world-class talent in Media, Entertainment and Technology. CMR University has partnered with Seamedu School of Pro-Expressionism (Pune) to design, develop and deliver the industry-integrated curriculum. The school offers specialised programs in the fields of Sound Engineering, Filmmaking, Photography, Game Design and Development and Visual Effects.
