21, June 2017: CMR University marked International Day of Yoga with students in an interactive session on Yoga, including a demonstration conducted by reputed yogis at CMR University city campus. The importance of yoga was showcased to students by Yogi M Rajesh Achari and Yogini Baishali Gupta, who displayed advanced yoga techniques.
Rajesh Achari is a popular yoga practitioner who has participated in several national and international competions and has represented India in the 6th International Yoga Competition held in Shenzhen, China.
Baishali Gupta, a well-known yogini, who presented an awe-inspiring yoga demonstration at the University, won the ‘Yoga Sundari’ award at the All India Open National Yoga Competition in 2016, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She has also represented India in the 6th International Yoga competition.
CMR University students, faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff also actively took part in a yoga session.
