Prof. Anjali Yagnik has done a six year program in Architecture from the School of Architecture at the Center for Environmental Planning & Technology in Ahmedabad and graduated with a Diploma in Architecture from CEPT. In 1987, she enrolled for an M.Arch. at UC Berkeley, California. She took most of her credits in the Building Process Program with Prof. Christopher Alexander. She was invited to join Christopher Alexander’s Center for Environmental Structure after graduation. She returned to India in October 1991 to set up a partnership firm named Vijay & Anjali Yagnik Architects in Bangalore, and went on to have a prolific and thoroughly engaging practice. In 1998, her firm was commissioned, from a field of 24 competitors, to design the Sasken Corporate Office in Domlur, Bangalore. This was completed successfully to everyone’s satisfaction.
Anjali has also been featured in a recently published book titled ͞Women Architects And Modernism in India – Narratives & Contemporary Practices͟ by Madhavi Desai.
